Bill Usher writes to send greetings to those in the Association who remember him from School and past dinners.

Bill grew up on farms around Ospringe and, through a scholarship from Bobbing School, joined the School in 1939. Bill remembers taking exams whilst air raid sirens were going off and perhaps this may have led (by his own admission) to a less than spectacular academic record. Nevertheless he valued the teaching and was at the School under headmasters Mr Clayden and Mr Hardy. Following time in the RAF, Bill enjoyed a successful career in roofing both with Marley and then with his own firm. Now living in Somerset, Bill used to attend reunion dinners and sends his best wishes to those who know him. Hopefully we will see Bill at next years dinner!
